I have had the pleasure of knowing Kayla because she was my sons one to one aide at his elementary school for a year. She made sure he was safe at all times and always within arms length. She was always one step ahead to make sure my sons needs were met and often went above and beyond to make sure each school day was productive and that his IEP goals were followed through. She made sure my son had plenty of movement breaks and followed his sensory diet. My son adored her and was well received by Kayla. He was just as excited to see her, as I know she was as well. Her daily notes were detailed and thorough. My son is non verbal, and each note that I read is a peace of mind on how his day went, good or bad. She would update us with pictures on how his day was going through the school sharing application. This means so much to us as special needs parents. She was also a great collaborator and would consult other staff members on how my sons school day could be better facilitated, if a problem, or a solution to a problem did arise. She truly cares about her students and will meet them wherever they need to be. Any student would be lucky to have
Kayla as their BCBA.
Kayla is an absolute pleasure to work with. She has always been professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and most importantly she is compassionate. Kayla really puts her all into working with her clients. When working with our daughter a great relationship was formed between the two and we knew Kayla really cared about her growth. She is knowledgeable and eager to include the family with the interventions and goals that are being worked toward. She listens to feedback and works with what is working or what might need to be reworked. As a family we were really pleased to have Kayla be able to work with our daughter and she has made a positive impact. With that being said Kayla would be a great addition to any families professional team for behavioral therapy.
Since starting ABA therapy, my child has significantly improved their communication skills, now initiating conversations and expressing their needs clearly. The structured approach of ABA therapy has helped my child manage their challenging behaviors, making everyday life much easier for our family. We are so grateful for the progress our child has made with ABA and especially grateful for all the services and support provided by a therapist as professional as Kayla. She had great knowledge on how to help my kid and she had full confidence with what she was doing with him to bring the best techniques for him. I appreciate all the hard work.
